Long ago, when climates 'existed', clothing was the main buffer for civilized entities, for even further back into memories, for animals only, one wore what would 'grow' out of the self, biologically meaning hairs, turning into an insulation blanket, more and more extreme as climate dictated;

In fact, one could 'read' one's own origin stamped biologically upon the skin...so, black, yellow, white, hairy, biology just tore through all its options, until discarded by sapience, the universal tendency to do less, to sit and wait for all things to grow out of this planet's own skin, in order for each sapient to always be met by similitude...

In other words, we have discarded biology and turned each of us into a kind of kinky dish, forever in need of replenishment with 'invented' foods trucked all over this planet with us all, the billions of stomaches all chained into tables, with mouths opened, mouths without any teeth, for everything comes pre-processed, digested...
