Local Exposure Magazine is a new photography magazine that explores art and culture in Southern Appalachia. Dedicated to high quality, beautiful and compelling imagery, this quarterly publication delivers professional photography alongside a collection of stories of Appalachia and the world changers, artists, poets, musicians, and other incredible humans who call this region home.

Our inaugural issue is dedicated entirely to women and includes features, interviews, and contributions from Emmy-award-winning documentary filmmaker Elaine McMillion Sheldon, PBS Tennessee' Black in Appalachia Podcast Hosts Dr Enkeshi El-Amin and Angela Davis, poetry from award-winning Appalachian author Marijo Moore, a photography series on southern women working in fields historically dominated by men, "Future World Changer" and young conservationist Maddie Newsom of Cashiers, NC , entrepreneurs, historians, artists, and many many more in over 90 pages of full-color beautiful photography and stories.
