Award-winning Canadian photographer, Linda Joyce Ott presents 26 of her favourite photos of stone and plaster-formed faces in this portfolio.

“I love old buildings and nothing gives me greater pleasure than walking city streets taking photos of historic building facades. With their handcrafted doors, leaded glass windows and finely wrought architectural details, these buildings are solid testaments to a bygone era.

With my neck craned back, my eyes scan the tops of buildings, straining to catch a glimpse of the fascinating ornamentation that few ever notice – the gargoyles and grotesques mutely staring down at us mortals passing beneath their watch.”
