Joe Palermo is a native of Texas, but he has lived in the Lake Charles, Louisiana area for over 50 years. He owns several businesses in the area, including the Gum Cove Hunting Lodge, for which he engineered a unique levee and lake system to preserve wildlife and fish populations on the property.
