Jon Sargent (Figurative-Arc)

Jon's love of the outdoors came from the critters he grew up with in Florida. Turtles, bugs and snakes were his constant companions. This love continues to be reflected in his work, as his photography is often shot in wilderness areas. He also paints and directs short art films.

Jon currently lives in Colorado with a number of critters at his side: his box turtle Sammy that he found in his backyard when he was 8 years old and his rescue Tortie cat, Jenga. He has yet to find a snake taking up residence under his refrigerator, which was often the case back in Florida. He and his pets nevertheless remain ever vigilant.
