DONNA D. HOOD has been writing professionally since she was the teen reporter for her hometown newspaper in Baytown, Texas. After graduation from the University of Texas, she continued earning her living with words as an English teacher, an advertising copy writer, a state public information officer, video script writer and producer, and free-lance journalist. Recently transplanted to Whidbey Island, Washington, Donna uses her professional writing skills to support the activities of the Whidbey Island Writers Association and the Whidbey Island tourism industry.
