What do I need to publish?
All you need to publish is a MagCloud account and a PDF. Publishers who want to add a markup to their MagCloud publication's price must also have a PayPal account in order for MagCloud to pay earnings from your sales. See our Terms of Use for additional information.
What is the maximum file size my PDF can be?
You can upload a PDF up to 300MB in size if you have the Adobe Flash Player or Microsoft Silverlight installed. Without one of these plug-ins installed in your browser, the maximum file size you can upload is 200MB.

Can I change the PDF of an existing MagCloud publication?
To replace a PDF for an existing MagCloud publication, click the My Projects link at the top of the page, then click the Edit Publication button next to the publication whose PDF you want to replace. From the Edit Publication page, click the Upload a Different PDF button and follow the onscreen instructions to browse to and upload your new PDF to the existing publication. Once the file is uploaded, Preview the new PDF to ensure everything looks okay, and then don't forget to select the Save Publication button at the bottom of the page.
Note: Orders placed when the prior version of the PDF was in place will not be affected; only new orders will use the new PDF. All orders will use the PDF present at the time the order is placed.
How much does it cost?
There is no cost to upload or publish a PDF to MagCloud. All printing is 4-color and full-bleed, with varying costs based on page size, product type, and finishing options:

5.25" x 8.25" and 8.25" x 5.25" Flyers cost $0.32 per piece for printing and UV coating is available for an additional $0.06 per piece.
8" x 8", 8.25" x 10.75" and 10.75" x 8.25" Flyers cost $0.40 per piece for printing and UV coating is available for an additional $0.12 per piece.
Posters cost $2.00 per piece for printing and include UV coating on both sides.
All orders of 10 or more print copies receive a discount off the printing costs.

As the publisher, you can choose to add a markup to your MagCloud publication beyond the cost of printing and binding, and MagCloud will pay the full markup back to you for all print sales of that publication. Click here for more information about how MagCloud pays publishers.
You can also choose to offer a digital version of your MagCloud publication either for free, for free with print purchase, or for a price. As the publisher, you get to set the selling price for your digital publication at $0.99 or above, and will earn 70% of that price on all sales through MagCloud.com. What formats can I distribute my MagCloud publication in?
MagCloud enables you to publish a magazine-format publication in print or as a digital version. Print versions are available in a variety of sizes and binding options. Digital versions can be read through the MagCloud web viewer, or as a downloaded PDF on any desktop or mobile device.
Can I make my MagCloud publication available in print but not as a digital version?
Yes, you can opt-out of digital distribution and only distribute in print.
Can I make my MagCloud publication available as a digital version but not in print?
Not at this time.
Can I bundle a digital version with my print version?
Yes, digital versions can be bundled free with print purchases to provide additional value to your print readers.
How do I add a markup to my publication?
When you create your MagCloud publication there will be an option to add a markup beyond the cost of printing. This markup will be added to the printing price to determine the total cost of the publication when it is for sale on the website, and will also be the amount credited to your PayPal account at the end of each month for any purchased copies. Once the publication is for sale on the site, you can change your markup amount by clicking Edit Publication on your My Projects page, or by selecting Edit Publication from the toolbar on the publication page.
Can I publish something other than a magazine?
You can publish whatever you want! If it meets our PDF requirements, it doesn't matter to us if it is a brochure, a flyer, an art portfolio, or a calendar.
