herb.s

San Jose State University's Department of Art and Art History features a series of student galleries alongside its main gallery (the Natalie and James Thompson Gallery). These student galleries are available to students for weeklong exhibitions. All galleries are in the Art building and are listed on the Department's gallery homepage. All minus one: Herbert Sanders Gallery, located in the Industrial Studies building.

This book, a visual and textual digression on the identity of Herbert Sanders, is published in conjunction with and on view during a two-part exhibition held in part in Herbert Sanders. The first part is titled "herb.s", the second is "one sitter / two galleries". The latter consists of a performance taking place in two different locations: the Herbert Sanders Gallery and the Thompson galleries.
