Adventure #1: Jack-o’-lantern In the Snow

U.P. (or Upper Peninsula) is a rustic, scenic part of the U.S. covered by woods full of wildlife, streams and waterfalls, old copper mines, ski trails, Lake Superior, light houses and plenty of room for adventure.

Adventure #1 introduces children to Jack-o'-lantern—a young hound dog who loves to play in the plentiful snow in his rural Michigan home. Younger children will enjoy the color images while listening to the story. Older children can read this charming story for themselves and enjoy the word scramble (Keweenaw Clues) at the end.
