Supernova

Every now and then, we are fortunate enough to witness a remarkable event in the universe, whether it be within the galaxy, the planet, our town, or the neighborhood where we live out our days. In this case, the stellar event has been the changes that Venice, California, has experienced over the last two decades, going from a sleepy, albeit quirky, beach town to its present incarnation as a globally recognized center for the arts, fashion, and the intelligentsia lifestyle.

For the last 12 years, I have been documenting what has been taking place within the boundaries of this unique area, which also happens to be where I work, where I live, and where I share the journeys, hope, and dreams of my fellow Venetians.
