Cutting Ferns is the 5th pattern from the Shades of Green Knitting Pattern Collection.

Cutting Ferns is worked from the center of the wingspan outward and down. Increases placed on every row form the shawl’s shallow triangular shape. Hex fern lace patterning is worked on right side rows only. Repeats are long, however, the stitches all “make sense” and as you go forward you may need to only glance at the pattern.

Instructions for this design are given in charted and written formats. Written directions are presented first with the charts following. It is advised that you read through the directions before beginning even if you intend to work exclusively from charts.
