Whilst working as a photographer for a local newspaper in western sydney I noticed a lot of small shops with the words ‘mixed business’ painted on them. These shops are positioned on residential street’s. Normally on the corner. I found these shops interesting and wondered about their longevity in a world of supermarkets, shopping centres and malls.
