In the summer of 1964, three civil rights workers were murdered in Mississippi. They are known to the world as Goodman, Chaney and Schwerner. But back then, in the days before they died, John Steele knew them as Andy, JE, and Mickey.

John shares his memories of the time he drove south together to join the Mississippi Freedom Summer project. He tells a bit of the story of that summer, and tells it for a purpose. It has implications for today.
